Screening: ANGRY INUK

  • pin Forest Cafe 141 Lauriston Place, EH3 9JN Edinburgh, United Kingdom (map)

oin us for a rare screening of Alethea Arnaquq-Baril 's documentary Angry Inuk at the Forest Cafe!

The documentary amplifies the voice of the ignored and silenced Inuit and Aleut people's which have long been devastated by environmental groups and governments reckless and insensitive campaigning and policies.
The film carefully and intelligently considers the hatred, judgement and poverty meted out to indigenous seal hunters by campaigns initially sparked by outrage at sadistic western commercial Canadian seal hunting.
The film illustrates just how vital considering multiple cultural perspectives is in international environmental activism - and how far we have yet to go.

The screening is free of charge, however donations in support of Ocanic Cleanup will be collected at the door.

Please support the Forest by feasting on some of their scrumptious meals and delicious (hot) drinks before or during the screening or bring your own drinks (corkage fee applies)...
