Edinburgh Pad Project Monthly Workshop

  • The Edinburgh Remakery 127 Leith Street Edinburgh, Scotland, EH1 3AT United Kingdom (map)

Learn a new skill, meet new people, and #RemakeADifference to those in need!

The Edinburgh Pad Project is a brand new group run by the Edinburgh Remakery and Edinburgh University Students’ Association Volunteering Service and supported by Zero Waste Leith.

Join our free monthly workshops and learn to make your own sustainable, zero waste and reusable sanitary pads. The pads made during the workshop will be donated to The Homeless Period and Leith Food Bank to gift to women experiencing period poverty.

In this workshop you will learn basic sewing machine skills and get a pattern to take home to make pads yourself, saving you money and helping the environment! Some sanitary pads contain up to four plastic bags worth of plastic, and a lot of them end up in landfill or polluting our oceans, and take hundreds of years to degrade. Making reusable pads with the Edinburgh Pad Project is a way to promote sustainability, while helping those in need.

Visit our eventbrite page for further details and to book your space!

Please note places are available for both members of the general public and University of Edinburgh Students and have separate booking pages. Please ensure you sign up to the relevant workshop when booking.
