  • pin SHRUB Coop 22 Bread street, EH3 9AF Edinburgh, United Kingdom (map)

Want to have better meetings? Improve your facilitation skills? Learn about consensus decision-making? This event is for you! SHRUB have teamed up with Tripod to offer this training session for SHRUB staff and volunteers.

Facilitation is an important skill set, which is useful in many situations. These skills are key to successful organising, campaigning and movement building. They help guide and direct groups to successful outcomes.

Aims for this session:

--To explore what facilitation is and how it can support groups to have better meetings;

--Explore the flow of a consensus decision-making process

--Practise a couple of important skills for facilitation

--Practise making a decision with a facilitator

This event is open to SHRUB members and volunteers and is free to attend, but you must book an Eventbrite ticket. As places for this workshop are limited we ask that you attend the full workshop from 6.30pm. Please arrive at 6.20pm so that we can start promptly.

Tripod strengthens and nurtures movements for social and environmental justice, while cross-pollinating learning for strategic and sustainable action. They run training and movement specific programmes in essential campaigning and organising skills, facilitate strategic and developmental meetings, mediate conflicts and offer long-term consultation to help movements plan, navigate challenges and build resilience.
