This workshop is run as part of the Zero Waste Leith project to make Leith a more vibrant town with zero waste at it’s heart, and is only available to those who work or live in Leith (postcode EH6).
We are the people who buy clothes, the people who wear clothes, the people who make clothes…
so why is it so hard to shop sustainably, ensuring the clothes we buy are made in a safe, fair and ethical way? What is our role in the fashion market and do we, as individuals, have the power to force real change in this multinational industry?
Join us on Tuesday 23rd April for a one-off workshop for Fashion Revolution Week with Remode Collective and Edinburgh Remakery where we will discuss this and more, learning about the environmental and social impact of the fashion industry, how you can make real, achievable changes in your life to minimise these, and make your voice heard this Fashion Revolution Week. Not only that but you’ll get to meet some awesome, inspiring creatives and makers, and practise some easy and original ways to extend the life of your clothes!
Please bring along an item of clothing that you would like to work on. Nibbles and refreshments will be provided. No previous knowledge or experience needed to attend, only a desire to learn more and get involved in this fantastic movement to create positive change!
