Furoshiki Giftwrap Workshop

  • Sunshine Yoga Alexander Drive 6-8, EH11 2RH Edinburgh, United Kingdom (map)

Have you always wondered how to wrap your gifts completely waste-free? Looking for creative ways to wrap your valentine gift? Interested in Japanese culture?

Furoshiki, or Japanese fabric wrapping, provides an eco-friendly and sustainable way to wrap gifts and is a real alternative to the hundreds of thousands of miles of un-recyclable paper giftwrap that makes its way to landfill each year!

During this workshop lead by Jeni from Furoshiki Giftwrap, we hope to share with you the oriental practice of Furoshiki and provide elegant, beautiful and simple wrapping material that can be reused again and again. At the end of the workshop, you'll have the chance to buy some of the beautiful wraps you've practised with. ☝️

As part of the Eco Larder's aim to give back to the community, the workshop is FREE but ticketed, as due to space restrictions we can only run the workshop with 14 participants. Please make sure to reserve your space and remember to cancel your attendance if you can't make it so others have the chance to take part!🙏

Anyone over age 10 should be capable of doing the workshop.

Remember to bring three objects along to wrap:
+ a book (or anything shaped like a book, size A4),
+ a bottle (with a long neck - please rinse and dry thoroughly if empty) 💦 and
+ a shoe box.

The Workshop will take place at Sunshine Yoga.

See you there and happy wrapping!
