Scottish Love in Action - Volunteer at Ladies Cinema Night
Scotland Love in Action is a fundraising charity that supports vulnerable children in India. They are running a Ladies Cinema Night and are in need of TWO volunteers from 6:30 - 8:30pm THIS THURSDAY 14th MARCH to help usher and with a few other tasks. 30th March - Fun Day at the Gyle
Edinburgh Children's Hospital Charity support the work of the Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Edinburgh. They will be hosting their annual Fun Day at The Gyle on the 30th March at the Gyle Shopping Centre. 15 VOLUNTEERS are needed to help run the event smoothly from 10am-4pm. Children 1st - Edinburgh Marathon Festival 2019
An unforgettable running experience and a major event in the Scottish sporting calendar, the Edinburgh Marathon Festival is now in its 17th year and takes place on Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th May 2019.
Attracting around 30,000 runners, and with thousands more lining the course to cheer you on, it really will be an experience to remember.
There are 9 races on offer over two days including the marathon, half marathon, team relay, 10k, 5k and junior races.
There is something for everyone, so it's a great way to make the most of the Bank Holiday weekend!

25/26th May - Edinburgh Marathon Festival
Edinburgh Children’s Hospital Charity support the work of the Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Edinburgh and other healthcare settings in the community. on the 25/26th May, the charity are asking for 5 VOLUNTEERS each day to help them support the runners for the day but the times are TBC but you will be meeting at Holyrood Park in the morning. Children 1st - Forth Rail Bridge Abseils 2019
This thrilling and unique challenge allows you to free-fall abseil (SAS style!) from the iconic Forth Rail Bridge – Scotland’s Best Loved Landmark.
You’ll get the opportunity to enjoy the incredible views before you descend on your 165ft drop with a soft landing on the sandy beach below.
Abseils will take place on the 9th June and 6th October.
Registration costs £21.00 and we ask participants to aim to raise a minimum of £165.00.

Children 1st - Scottish Half Marathon and 10k

The Scottish 10k is Scotland's newest 10k and a fantastic opportunity to grab that illusive PB! It doesn’t matter if this is your first or your hundredth running event; this is one not to be missed! It's fresh and its exciting - give it a go and set your 2019 challenge today!

Children 1st - KiltWalk 2019
Dust off those trainers and look out your kilt, Team Children 1st need YOU to take part in your local Kiltwalk. The Kiltwalk is a great day out, regardless of the Scottish weather and is suitable for individuals, groups and families. You can choose to take part in one of three events available: The Mighty Stride; Big Stroll or the Wee Wander.

Help us to support Scotland’s vulnerable children by taking part in the Kiltwalk and be confident that 100% of the sponsorship money you raise will go directly to Children 1st. We would suggest a fundraising target of £150.

Arctic Trek 20-25th January 2020
The Ultimate Ice Challenge. Join #TeamChildren1st for the best week of your life battling the elements in the Arctic.
During 20-25 January 2020, #TeamChildren1st will be heading to the Arctic and we are looking for 16 people to join us.
On this unique challenge you will head to Rovaniemi in Finland and spend three days trekking into the Arctic Circle. After a preparation weekend in Scotland, as well as several briefing evenings and a good amount of training, you will be ready for the challenge.
Imagine the sense of achievement in travelling outside your comfort zone while raising money. This is where you make friends for life, take home memories that no pictures can ever impart and you can forever impress folk with “When I was in the Arctic...”
Sponsorship target: £3999 per participant. £350 is required to register your place leaving £3649 to be raised.

2-26th August - Collections at the Gilded Balloon
Edinburgh Children's Hospital Charity support the work of the Royal Hospital for Sick Children in Edinburgh and other healthcare settings in the community. Every year the Hospital receives over 100,000 children through its doors from all over Scotland. This is a long way off, however, if you know you are in Edinburgh over the Fringe (for example) and want to spend a day giving back, then register your interest through a short form (click the photo)
